When we say sorry and when we truly mean it, a burden is always off our chest, yet we hesitate to unleash it. And even when we do say the words, we give reasons to justify our behavior or even worse, at times we ask for redemption. To me, this is to satisfy that ego we nurture on our minds.
From now on, if I apologize, I will simply apologize without any rider, and if at all I want to do anything, I will show it through my action without promising anything upfront.

let the resentment you’re beholding 
release with an ease, 

it is time to drop the guards, 
it is time to attain the dreams, 
let no past grudge hold you down, 
for love is awaiting, 
let the longing we nurture 
breach the silence we keep, 

and if you give me a cue, 
I won’t disappoint you

The nip in the air was refreshingly charming, 
you in your blue overall denim, 
and I wearing my yellow cardigan, 
walking in the embrace of nature 
lost in each other’s words

Now a year has gone by, 
the nip in the air is piercingly arrogant,
and the silence in the nature is eerily frightening, 
perhaps the love has drifted 
in the thin air of confusion, 
morphing into an enigmatic sliver thaw

Those promises we made holding hands, 
and the love we saw in the eyes 
that was never going to end, 

when we enjoyed the summer breeze 
dwelling in love 
and swelled  in the winter warmth 
flowing through your voice,

the songs that we hummed in unity, 
the poetries I wrote 
praising your beauty, 

the care we deeply felt 
in each other’s thoughts,
the prayers we offered 
drenched in love 

All those promises, 
the seamless love, 
the touch of summer breeze, 
the warmth of winter thoughts, 
the songs we hummed, 
the poetries that rhymed, 
the care we felt, 
the prayers we made, 
have betrayed our souls, 
for the endless love 
has become transient, 
and the silence now screams 
with an eldritch tone

When you love her 
without carrying the burden of 
creed, prejudice or judgment

when you embrace her
just for who she is, 

when you include her in your life 
without any hidden agenda 
or vicious expectations, 

when you stand beside her 
regardless of what she has done 
or not done

when your heart always brims 
with joy for your love, 

when you shower her 
with empathy, humility and joy 

When you celebrate every moment
because you are blessed 
to be in her life 

Then your deeds become effortless,
and with an ethereal feel 
you reach the Eden of elysian  

And for such love 
the universe, 
the celestial bods, 
the firmament above, 
the seers,
the gods,
all conjures 
to make your pious bonding  
the true testimony of gorgeous love

Sometimes in a relationship loving deeply has detrimental consequence, for love appears overwhelming, an imposition that pretentiously threaten to hold the doubtful heart in a shackle. And with such presumption and perturb the capricious mind subconsciously drive away the love, only to realize later that the love you are scurrying away is the love that defines your world.
