International Women’s Day

This stone slab is from Yale University. If you zoom into the picture you will see a series of numbers engrained in a spiral. The digits indicate the number of female students enrolled in Yale since inception. For a good number of years, it remained at 0, then around the early 20th century you can see female student enrollment in the low three-digit number, slowly creeping its way up. Last year there were 5225 females enrolled into Yale.

On the occasion of international women's day, I thought of sharing this intriguing piece of information. May we all thrive to do our part and celebrate women's contribution to this beautiful world we live in.
