Wandering fatuously 
wearing a haggard silence 
I listlessly sidled on the riverbanks, 
trying to shed away her thoughts 
that tarried along 
even when I trudged 
my dissolute self away 
from the clasp of the maddening chaos 
that heart relentlessly imposed 
on my naive being
