And the day finally dawned,
breaking the mold,
fighting the storm that lasted way too long
And the smile on her countenance
radiated the spark of a million nova
And her eyes twirled with a flight of lark
as she stared the sun with a defiant stare
It was her day
abating the fear that held her until this time
and she embraced the world
