Father Daughter Conversation

So, I was driving my 9 year old daughter to the library yesterday and we were having our father-daughter catch-up, for work kept me away from home.

It was gray skies since morning and on our way home the clouds opened up. My daughter invariably said, “Oh, Boy”

“Why did you say oh, Boy? You could have said oh, girl.” I enquired with a smile.

“That’s because I like saying, boy.” She explained in her chirping tone.

“So, you like boys,” I said with a teasing tone.

“Yes, I do otherwise how I will like you.” Came the prompt response making me speechless.
