You Gave Me Hope

You gave me hope,
even when if it was flickering
between distrust and betrayals,
you showed that hope can be trusted

and with that faint believe
I surged forward
and got introduced to smiles and joys,
which I was so far deprived of
and life,
despite all atrocities,
insanities and madness,
started appearing like a bliss,
for I found hope was beautiful

  1. Absolutely beautifully written and very expressive.
Each word seems leaps off the page radiating hope, that renews strength.
The vivid imagery of the flickering candle is so powerful because it means there is still light; still hope.
Hope itself is the main ingredient of Faith.
A little bit will do, as I place my Trust in the God Who will always see me through.

  2. You know, what I like about your poems is, you always highlight the word that is so deeply nurtured by the alphabets you choosed.

And in this particular poem you write about the hope which has been given to you which is BEAUTIFUL. And before finding this ray of hope you were deprived of life. I like what you write, always. And how you find a way to link it all together. 💙
