Unrequited love
brings the best out of me,
for when I am bereaved,
I look deep within,
searching my soul,
discovering myself,
learning a lesson,
treasuring some memory,
have thoughts to keep,
wisdom to share
and above all
I weave them in words
for others to feel
and rise above the agony
and from the deepest of their
angst lad abyss
