When she speaks
with her melodious lilt
it seems as if
water flowing through a rill
on a faraway hill
crossing the boulder,
jumping the shrub,
like the sun
smiling through the mist
and when I hear your voice
I know our love will blossom soon
for it didn’t appear like a distant dream
