The scumbag that he was,
just to get rid of her,
her wrote a libel to tarnish her name,
alas! even that name was not hers,
for it bore his surname,

Yet despite such barbaric denounce
she didn’t utter a word
and left him trudged,
carrying with her a turgid soul
rising with emotions,
and a pair of eyes
with shades of betrayal
never to be found again
