I was a ruinous soul,
a savage,
feared by all.
I am unsure when,
you crawled into my world,
and encroached my closely guarded den.
You caressed my wounds
and nurtured my soul,
tamed my anger
and showed me the blissful knoll.
Then one day I fortuitously saw my face,
and I failed to recognize my own image
I stood awestruck unsure what to do
a new world beaconing
a new me raring to go
