Clamp me down to my knees,
shred my soul later by layer to the last drop of life,
abrade my heart,
detest me,
despise me,
throw me in a rut,
demean me,
call me by names,
mock me,
ridicule me,
detest me,
do whatever you wish
but despite such atrocities
I will rise and shine,
for I am a woman,
a resilient force
and I carry my scars proudly
and I will rebound
