A soul becomes defiant when it is battered with storm time and again for none of his falter and for reasons unknown. When despite possessing goodness and brimming with empathy it is often left betrayed. Such defiant souls don’t portray it has lost its virtue or the devil has got it under its fold, but it simply states its rectitude is a selective process, for it is not going to be good to all.
I call it a badass attitude and if I find someone with such an attitude, I shall label it as my old soul.
