मुद्दतों के बाद यह जो वक़्त मुकम्मल हुआ हे आज
इन्हें दिल के कश्मकश में ना बहने दो तुम
ना रोको इस सैलाब को
ना बाँधो उमरते अरमानो को
फिर ना जाने वक़्त हमपे मेहरबाँ हो ना हो

After years of yearnings we have accost this moment
let it not slip away in some untoward perturbations’ ravine
don’t stop the storm
don’t arrest the desires,
for we don’t know
whether this time will come again

  3. In the past, I had a multi-lingual professor who translated and wrote poetry, and he said knowing languages was a great aid to writing. I wonder if you find the same?
