Hope

Smeared with a splash of myriad colors
I remain drenched
in shades of many vibrant thoughts,
some brandishing hope,
few smiling hopes
and many stretching its hand
to touch the dandy elation

But the feel soon morphs
into an abstract charm,
with no face to reckon with,
no name to pronounce
it consumes itself to nothingness

My heart makes one last attempt
to capture the glee
but it disappears
like sand sifting through a fist

Despaired and gruntled
I closed my eyes
trying to calm my mind
and shed away the illusionist charm

And as I looked within
I found her footprints
with the similar vibrant colors
draping my soul,
I thought of giving it a name
and this time around I called it, hope

  4. “I thought of giving it a name
and this time around I called it, hope” – beautiful. Introspection, looking inwards and finding Hope.

  5. Hope is a beautiful unexpected thing! We may hope and pray and be earnest in our efforts but when it comes to fruition…. whew a beautiful thing
