Vernacular – A Poem (2/2)

The pleasure of getting acquainted with a multitude of culture
learning the vernacular ways to bond
the depth of cultural brilliance
the aroma of gratifying love

Memories for a lifetime
learned traits to survive in a storm

Traveling gives such thoughts
and many more to treasure
to remember the yonder
and smile merrily when I am alone

Beautifully written. I wish I also can write poems like this. Yes travelling and seeing new places is nice…..especially when young and one has a lot of vigor. I have traveled quite a bit but then with kids, which restricts going around too much. But then again looking back that was enough as I have lived in a few other countries. And now can see so much through the TV too. Yes not like being there itself, but then at this stage of my life, I rather watch than getting too tired walking around. The very best to you. Happy Travels 🙂

  2. This is absolutely brilliantly penned.
The journey, the experience and ever learning.
There is such a vivid appreciation expression of love, cultural and life.
    A refreshing ignited…
    Thanks for sharing
