Recidivism – A Poem

You are vile
a toxic temptation
a shadow
a mystic disguise

and the elixir you possess
is a potent of torment
a delirious wish
an utter disbelief

for every time I assume
my desires will be quenched
you revert to your recidivism
leaving me stranded, alone, and deprived

  1. I tell you a secret 😅 every time I come across your poem.. I have to ask for a dictionary help! I wish I can have the secret to acquire new vocabulary, my English sucks 😣

  2. You are very kind. We all refer to dictionary all the time. You are not alone. And I will tell you a secret I also refer to dictionary all the time as I read some beautiful blogs post

  3. Actually you made realize🤪 I Need to introspect maybe😎 I don’t think it’s haste. You chose to put it that way. It must be a miss

  4. Of the times when we are unable to leave temptation alone…The moth to the flame to get burnt 😉 It is a wonderfully phrased poem!

  5. I’ d ask if you can actually walk away, why do you let them back in? What’s in it for you?

When you answer these honestly you will have found your cure!
