जिस चहरे को कई उम्र तक
एक साया बनाकर आपने जो
दर्पण से छुपा रखा था

हम दुनिया से परे
ज़हन पे न जाने कितने प्रतिबिम्ब के रेखायें खींच
कल्पनाओं के झील में दुबे रहे

और आज जब हम
आपसे अकस्मात् रूबरू हुए
मेरे ख़यालों को जसे
कोई सितारा मुकम्मल हुआ

For ages I knew you
through your words
and you hid behind
many illusionist seance

And aloof from the world
I drew many images
in my thoughts
often dwelling
in the oceans of your mirage

And today
when I saw you at last
I feel as if
my yearning had found
some new meaning and purpose
for me to remain with you
forever in love
