Her Defiant Poise

I fell head over heels
for all the shades she exudes

The shade when she set her soul free unbounded
soaring to some skies above,

Or the one when her deep doe eyes
long for the moments of our togetherness

Or the time when she displays
the shade of her blithe to grab the ocean in her eyes

I love all such shades and some more
but the shade I loved the most
is the one when she exposed her vulnerable self
with shaking lips yet with a defiant poise
