Spring

The gelid airs surged from the north
and the morning dews from the air above
rolled on autumn leaves,
the flowers bloomed,
the birds chirped,
the creek ran with a melodious hum,
and I smiled,
for I knew spring was about to arrive

  1. A beautiful spring poem, Shantanu. Love its concision. With just a few words you express a lifetime with gorgeous imagery of nature. Great work!

  2. Perfect timing, here in north England, today it feels like it’s finally here. Your poem helps to feel and smell it in the air.
