Lost in the hullabaloos of the city dwelling,
between the hustling of vehicle,
and the cacophony of escalating noise,
his emotions were in turmoil,
and his delirious soul
trying hard to survive,
but his attempts were frail
as it assumed quietude
And then one day
with rustling steps
his soul wandered away
from the concrete structures into the woods
trying to find its share of respite in the wild,
the abode, which he left long time ago,
drawn by the glitter of the city, he so much loved
And now as he saw his roots withered,
dreams shattered,
soul sold,
the city took away everything away but not hope,
as he coppiced his heart
to regrow the copse of his love
Splendid… 😊
“soul sold” i love that.
Thanks Atifa
