Dear Blogger friend. Today I tried a new form of poetry. I used the word Senescence in three different ways. Senescence means deteriorating with age. The First poem is about a woman who is aging gracefully, the second is about another woman who is struggling with her old age and the last one is how nature deal with old age. Hope you guys like it.
Senescence – Growing Old With Charm
The gray hair was
making an unceremonious appearance
and the occasional wrinkle
smeared on her face
whenever she smiled
The thoughts were brightened
anger was much in her control
life was deprived of drama
and quip was more sensible
for she was gradually stepping
toward her older being
sure she was growing wise
because of senescence
Senescence may cause Depression
The midlife crisis hit her like a bolt
the occasional gray hair
that appeared without much warning
was the cause of her
youth’s demise and her subtle remorse
The strife remained intense
quarrels on an uproar,
battered soul was starkly visible
as a desperate soul fought for existence,
for she was introduced to the old age
because of her senescence
Senescence – How it Thrives in Wild
The oak tree was tall and beautiful
the red leaves gave It countenance
a crimson bright tinge
the acorns appeared more fuller
and the aura had a splendor
beaming through its light
The squirrels dug their abode on its trunk
several birds took shelter
In its widespread branches
there was happiness,
a chirpiness of blithe
and unlike the ever complaining human tribe
with senescence, it spread more charm
and it was an eye-catching delight

This is a charming suite, as if we were having choices laid out as to how we wish to approach older age, to embrace or to fight the inevitable, and there are some great images. The second feels more like a stage of growing older, when the inevitable it its realisation strikes and has to be come to terms with.
You said it so beautifully. Thank you so much for reading
