Her unrequited love
was cast on her heart
with deep crimson lines,
and her reminisce
drawn on her vision
with deeply engraved nails,
reminding her
every shade of the past yore,
and the yearnings trolled her
with a vibrant roar
she coaxed,
cajoled,
ignored,
but no matter how much she desired to escape,
the past stood on her face
like an old miscreant thought

Beautiful poem, Shantanu!
