Devilish Design

When you’re around
you make me desirous
and when not
my heart remains caged
in a delirious state

And my eyes
searching for your presence
in every crevice
of my tangled mind

And the heart nurturing hope
even after you left
the soul battered
in a labyrinthine ravine

Yet every ounce of my life
calls you, yearns for you,
knowing even if you will come
it will be a devilish design
