Resurrection

He was bereaved, despaired
and helpless without her presence
and like a moon in an afternoon sky
he questioned his existence in her life demolished, abstained,
humiliated and absolved,
his love was crushed
by her callous display of emotions

And in one such moment
she showered love,
cajoled him,
coaxed him,
appeased him to stay in her life
and in that trice,
his vexation dissolved,
he embraced her with all his might
expressing his yearning,
writing his love
and holding her in his bohemian smile

Then suddenly,
without any rhyme or reason
her thoughts became superfluous
and her melodious chime vanished
like some vapor dissolving in dark skies

Baffled, he recoiled his urge
with a promise,
never to nudge
he sweared never to get fooled again
never to entwined in such disastrous twine

And when he somehow got
his heart by his side
she decided to appear
pretending nothing was ever wrong,
convincing, she being the only right

Now, it had happened
too often too many times
and like a dent on a rock
caused by the constant flow of a river
he accepted her presence
as a permanent chide
for this time he was adamant
not to get his desirous heart
to ruin the peace he so deserved
