It was not easy at first
for the attraction was strong
a feral dearie
when the heart expected
reciprocation of love
It was rough in the beginning
for she accepted his love
before withdrawing
into a cocoon of obscurity
dissolving the flames
in the mist of oblivion
It was tough
for she couldn’t let him go
toggling between yearnings, feel and love
whenever he decided to refrain
He failed all reasoning
why he longed for her
never fathomed
why despite her atrocities
his long-held silence melts
whenever she appeared calling his name
But then he understood
there could be many reasons to detest her
but that one reason he accosts her for
was enough to love her for a lifetime
And now he has decided to give
without expectation,
embrace her without reciprocation,
be with her for all reasons and for no reasons,
smile with her when she is in blithe,
be there whenever she is in need,
observe her when she is silent,
care for her when she is roughed
console her when she is broke
give her wings when she wants to fly
encourage her every moment, every trice
all this and some more for he was in love
