trying to read my soul through my eyes’ reflection,
unaware that the mirror was an illusion
and naive enough to understand
that soul was not to read
but to feel,
often with closed eyes

  1. ‘soul was not to read
    but to feel,
    often with closed eyes’

    Such beautiful words! 🙂

  2. Beautiful!! Something with eyes again 😀
The soul is definitely to be felt.

  3. Well this reminds me of another poem by bulleh shah
    Parh parh ilm hazaar kitaaban
Kadi apne aap nu parhya nahin
Kadi maan apne wich wareya na
Anven larda shaitan de naaal bandeya
Kadi nafs apne naal larya nai!
