Your memories are engrained on my soul,
layer on layer,
like writings casted on stone
And no matter where I go,
or what I do,
from time to time
your reminiscence crosses my mind,
making my senses go blurry
and my vision go blind,
as I think all those little things,
and those precious unforgettable signs
that you have unknowingly left behind
Like when you used to look away,
pretending to be furious,
yet watching me from
the corner of your eyes
Or when you refused to speak,
no matter how much I coaxed
but give away
when I announce
I have something interesting to say
The sound of your anklet
the coil of your tresses
your silent humming of our favorite song
you standing against anything wrong
All those memories
I have treasured deep inside my heart
locked in a treasure box
sealed in some envelops
for a lifetime to smile
I remember the fight
you took with strangers for me
never letting anyone
take any advantage on me for free
You owned me
you possessed me
you made me a whole
you completed me
you were a part of me
and you were the beautiful words
for my enigmatic prose
All such thoughts
now lights up my face
and as I recall
your honey laden voice
your absence engulfs me
putting me in a reverie
showing me your spellbound charming grace
Though you are nowhere here
to feel, touch or talk
I am content
in every one of my life’s walk
‘cause I have your memories
to call my own
for I have your thoughts
that would never be gone
making me smile in an unpretentious way
and staying with me
my memories and your never ending tales
