Hello readers. This year, New Jersey broke many records. New Jersey recycled the most trash compared to the other states in the US.  To commemorate the same and to increase recycling awareness, the environmental protection agency of NJ Government held a poetry competition across the 2500+ schools in NJ. The contest encouraged students from grade 4th to 6th to write a poem on recycling. So I went ahead and wrote a poem, which was adjusted as one of the winners. I was awarded a certificate of excellence by the commissioner Bob Martin of NJ Environmental protection on 15th, Nov 2017.  The poem I wrote is as below:

Recycle
 The last piece of paper
The ending of books
No air to breathe
A dim outlook
All lakes polluted
Fish have nowhere to go
All the soil dirty
Plants cannot grow
You see a recycling box
Several thoughts cross your mind
