I ousted her
from my heart
that kept bleeding taking her name

Outcasted her,
from every dream
that bore her presence

Denied her
from the thoughts
that often clouded my mind

Wrung her,
from my soul
so that I don’t have her in my yore

I cleaned, screamed, ran, hid
I ran to the other side of the world,
I made friends,
I stayed aloof,
I tried everything I could humanly do
but damn she,
as adamant as she could be,
never left me in peace once
