He prattled on every occasion,
of her showing up late,
Only to be amazed later,
On how she supervenes each event,
To his bafflement, amusement and surprise.

That’s how she was,
Abstruse, mercurial and capricious,
Befuddling every one of his belief,
Leaving him in some utter disguise.
