The shadows from yesterday
were lurking on my mind,
I coaxed,
cajoled
and put forth a defiant stature
but the dark patches
refrained to leave,
exhausted I resigned
and when I calmed the chaos within
I found peace
for the mist of time
spoke to my lonely soul
and I was not alone anymore
