Often we want to believe what our heart desires
putting the blinder on eyes
we accept all harshness and atrocities thinking love will triumph
And then one day the ugly truth
crawls out from the hidden trove
peeling every illusion
we wore for eons
leaving us stark naked
We then realize
she was there for her convenience
as per her whims and fancies
while you were building
a castle of your dreams out of the sand
which she washed away
and moved on in a whiff
displaying an ostensible sorrow while oozing our a smirk
but then you think who said life is fair
