He brandished his deviant self,
wearing the carefree stance in his queer smile
and assumed her presence
to be nothing but a serendipity
He liked her transient presence,
her pleasing aura,
her powerful words,
and everything she said or chose not to spell
He adored the occasional silence she assumed laced with eagerness,
and the soulful smiles oozing from her blurry words,
the relentless tease she mischievously played interest him more
and all the ditched emotions
trickling down too often in some uncanny descend
But despite such strong truss
he chose to offer a deaf ear,
convincing his miscreant heart,
for she was a friend at last,
though she was like a soothing breeze,
and felt like a desire to keep,
he saw her like a knoll
and from a distance,
he cherished her,
but dared not to breach the line
He didn’t know,
but he was discovering her slowly one leaf at a time
and every occasion he peeled a layer
he was astounded to learn
what she nurtured within
They may call it platonic
but their eyes, words, heart, soul yearn for each other more with the passing time.
