14 years in the US still not got into the habit of checking the weather before stepping out of the house.
I had a day trip to Chicago today. Knowing how New Jersey was getting cold I presumed it would be below zero in Chicago. So, I draped 6 layers of clothes, only to take three of them off after realizing weather in Chicago was quite gorgeous.
Clothes were not the only thing that went wrong today. I had an 11:00 AM meeting today in Chicago downtown but as luck would have it the flight was delayed by over two hours. I landed at 11:30 AM. Ironically my return flight was at 2:00 PM, so it was almost time to board my flight back home. The person I was meeting was kind enough to move my meeting. But my schedule went for a toss. Thanks for the frequent flying status, the airline allowed me to take the 6 PM flight.
As I walked out of the meeting I saw the building of the Chicago Tribune. The famous newspaper that shaped Chicago and in a way the US.

Chicago Tribune was established in 1847 and the building in the picture above became their main office in the year 1925.
I am heading back to the airport hoping my flight leaves on time. If you don’t know, evening flights to NY area are mostly delayed.
How was your day? Hope your week so far is going great.
