गिरा हज़ार दफा में
हिम्मत भी जाता रहा
तेरी परछाईयों का
फिर भी पीछा करता रहा

कश्मकश नहीं
ना ही कोई शक कि गुंजाइश है
ना भय ना आक्रोश
बस इक अनसुनी फरमाइश है

मुझे यकीन है
आज नहीं तो फिर कभी
वह सुबह आएगी
जब इन परछाईयों से परे
तू इक एहसास बन मुझ मॆ बस जायेगी

I have fallen many times
the courage has also dwindled a bit
Despite all the impending hurdles
I followed your shadow never called quits

Neither there’s hesitation
nor space for any doubt
no fear exists
nor the angst
the only lingering thought if any
is my unheard yore from the past

I am certain
today or maybe tomorrow
the morning will dawn
when beyond these shadows
you will stay
never to be gone
