And I tried to crawl
beneath the shroud that she silently wore
imposing an aura of her stout being
defiant and strong,
ready to brace any passing storm
But when I undraped her soul
I found a tender heart
like yours and mine
vulnerable and yearning for love
maybe story of every valiant soul
