Mystic Smiles

With poetic verse,
I admire you in silence

Sometimes I feel
you drench in my words
consume each one of my thought

But often when I reach out
to touch your warmth
you recoil
into your mysterious world

Even then I still relish your presence
but now in the labyrinth of
my miscreant mind

And in that world of ours,
I touch you, soul,
sense your vibes
and remain in joyous blithe

But then you appear again
like a sudden downpour
in the peak summer night

And befooled again
I dance again
until you disappear
leaving behind myriad mystic smiles

  1. Your protagonist’s mystic smiles are just the way your writing is, mystic and beautiful.
