The day you decide
to drop the layers of abraded tall shields
created over years of ignorance
Vow to fade away from the clad
you wore as your pretentious guard
all this while
And decide to disarm from everything else
that you held so close to your chest
thriving in your comfort zone
playing it safe
I will then welcome you
to this thing called life
