Assiduous – A Poem

The innocuous smile
that beams on your countenance
when your eyes behold
the sense of my presence

Maybe you’re blinded
by some distant fragrance of my love

And the elation of a five-year-old curiosity
that you display in your eyes
makes me swirl in your soul
over and over again
and as I pirouette to glory
you hold me with your assiduous touch
tell me now how will I now survive?
