Catching Shadows Poetry

I am
for a while now
lost in a nebulous cloud
trying to get my thoughts
align to yours
and when I see the shimmering light
on the brim of the grayness
I assume it will rain
and with such hopes
I jump with joy
assuming
the spark in your eyes
is the love we want to treasure,
and then you decide to go cold
like the pewter skies
driving my smiles
to a abysmal low,
if at all I have learned
loving you is like catching shadows
