Resurrection

Shantanu Baruah's avatarConfab With Me

Hidden down somewhere beneath
many layers of the trenchant heart,
some remain charming
and few unpleasant reminiscences
of the yesteryears

Though invisible,
yet it portrayed her dwindle image,
covered in strata of million contrived emotions,
some real,
and few perturbed human charades

And in the midst of the confusions
existed her semblance,
lost in a sea of thoughts,
stashed in a dark abyss of rotten broth

Yet after eons of spurious disappearance,
she was standing tall,
displaying truth,
speaking verse harsh and rife,
questioning each one of his pretentious smiles,
and doubting his pompous strife
as she walked back into his life
