The sparkle in the eyes of your child
as you come home
from a tiresome day to retire
Your better half nagging reminders
to eat your meal
when you are in the midst of
that important meeting
The unconditional love
your parents bestow
regardless of when you last pay them
an in-person show
The unprecedented love,
the boisterous claims,
the untiring devotion
the feeling of being precious
to someone in this world
make this otherwise chaotic world
a beautiful place to live
