Alibi

I confronted her,
asking about the promises,
the gorgeous views of the waning moon,
that we agreed to hold our hands,
to stay forever in blithe,

I accosted her,
for the moments we shared,
when we promised
the world of togetherness
and some divine mind share

I remained agog,
thinking how time could change hearts,
the nest of our love,
how suddenly it can be doomed to oblivion
and remained lost

Then she spoke,
with a timid voice,
half convinced and half with an ardent force,
and the excuse she portrayed gave all the answers
for she was the master of all presumed alibi

  1. Such a wonderful write! This is absolutely beautifully penned. The gentle intense of the confrontation of the promise she once made.
Still she rested on her natural, Go-To when she is exposed, Alibi.
