Elide

She left him bereaved
without giving much reasoning,
and faded away like sand sift through the hand,

He quivered,
pleaded for her to stay,
did everything he could to appease her

But she passed a queer smirk
and left him alone
to absolve her disguise
in absolute quietude

And as he was nursing his broken soul
she appeared again with her signature smile,
pulled him into her universe,
and told him he was her world

He was in blithe
but before he could declare the clouds had evaded
she vanished again into oblivion
without much reason or rhyme

He had shattered again,
but this time he didn’t plead her to stay,
neither he hoped for her return
he cultivated his broken yore
and set a path of resurrection on his own

And she appeared again,
wearing her ostensible innocuous smile,
but time had changed ,
he smiled but not with love,
he spoke but not love,
for he elided her out of his words, thoughts, and mind
