The strange unease that abducts my mind
during those unprecedented moments,
and the anxiety that dwarfs my charm,
something bizarre,
that I am unable to put my heart on,
the restlessness rattles me,
shatters me,
shake my existence,
and I with a morbid soul
wanders the obnoxious path of unknown,
hoping to find my shore
where I can put my anchor on

“unease that abducts my mind” – This feeling of being overtaken internally is something that those with anxiety can surely relate to.

This is so real and true. It gave me chills reading it. I can’t never put my finger on anxiety and this nails it.
Thanks so much for your lovely read. I truly appreciate the follow and the lovely comment
Completely relatable. Anxiety is an overwhelming feeling.
I struggled a lot with it during high school, and I still struggle with it today. If you would like to, you can read my own story dealing with anxiety: https://ayeshaquadri.wordpress.com/2019/03/04/my-own-anxiety-story/
Also, on an unrelated subject, I wanted to ask you if you have any tips and advice for new bloggers. I’m still fairly new to all of this and any help I can receive will lessen the anxiousness I have.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Have a wonderful day.
Thanks for your beautiful read. I will certainly read your work. Ayesha, though I am no way a life coach but here are my few cents. Anxieties is both an inner demon and outside acceptance fear. To deal with anxiety we need to let the mind go of the fear of acceptance , fear of comments, fear of judging and prejudice.
My advise is write your Heart out and you will see you will get your own acceptance. I will look forward to reading our work and rooting for you
Thank you so much for your words. I’ll keep them close when I’m dealing with anxiety throughout the day.
Knowing the feeling is shared and more people than I go through it and survive is reassuring. Your poem is not only beautiful, but gives strength.
I am so glad you could relate and resonate with it. Thanks so very much for your lovely read ❤️
Really enjoyed this poem. Your poem hints at your love of sailing. -Jill
