Like a promontory rock,
jutting out from a faraway ocean
she displayed her battle scars,
while fighting the mighty ocean
and the invaders’ wrath
from some time forgotten past
And despite all adversities
she stood with profound dignity
often bearing a curt rile,
which the world mistook
as a sign of arrogance,
while it signified her embroiled cast
