He Waits

She is like an oasis, shimmering from a distance, hard to fathom. Many refrains the urge to explore their chances, for they assumed it is a mirage soon to disappear into oblivion.

But not for him, for he knows someday somewhere the shroud will melt and the mystical myth will soon morph into a reality, making her surrender in his arms dissolving the charade she has braved it all this while.

And he waited, for he knows it will be the most beautiful thing the universe will witness. And for the celestial celebration, he waits. He waits for the sun to rise and spread hues on the early dawn skies. And despite all the abrasions in that trice he proudly wears his hope laced smiles.
