Those False Bearings

His imperious outlook
stymied his yearnings ether
to ooze and display his love

And the fortification he built
around his disconcerted self
perished like a sand castle
when his pretentious being
betrayed his longing heart

And like some dissolving vapor
his long standing mask dissipated
as he stood in front of her
despaired, exposed and naked
