Battling the darkness,
fighting the malign,
jostling adversity,
dodging cosmic signs.

Like a gladiator’s grit,
the moon repels and morphs.

Every shape being unique,
every shine to behold.

Not very different from you,
for your best comes to display when the stakes are against you.
